If you equate travel in Africa with safari’s only, we’ve got some news for you. There is so much more to this beautiful continent. Africa offers several challenging mountain summits that are waiting to be explored including its highest and most famous peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Other challenging peaks include Mt Kenya and Mt Stanley, both over 5,000 meters high. The active volcano Mt Nyiragongo is famous for having the world’s largest lava lake. Mt. Speke, Mt. Meru and Mt. Karisimbi are just a few other peaks waiting to be summited by the adventurous traveler.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Africa is home to both the largest inland delta in the world, the famous Okavango Delta, and the largest intact caldera in the world, the Ngorongoro Crater. Each of these spectacular sights is home to an abundance of wildlife and would provide the perfect accompaniment to any of the peaks mentioned above for a unique African adventure.
